CMSC Chairman of Commission for the Management of State Capital at Enterprises (CMSC) Nguyen Hoang Anh had a meeting with the delegation of Huawei Group led by Mr. Mark Xue Man, Global Vice President of Public And Government Affairs at Huawei Group on January 11th.
In his remarks, Mr. Mark Xue Man, Global Vice President of Public And Government Affairs at Huawei Group said, participating in the Vietnamese market since 1998, Huawei Group has cooperated with Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) in deploying fixed networks in 2001, cooperated with MobiFone Corporation in deploying 3G network services in 2009 and aimed to further cooperate with with Vietnamese partners new energy projects in 2018.
In addition, in recent years, Huawei and its more than 60 Vietnamese partners have trained thousands of experts in the field of information technology, providing more than 15,000 job opportunities in the field of technology equipment installation, technical services and network maintenance. Huawei is honored to participate in these projects and contribute to the digital transformation in Vietnam, Mr. Mark Xue Man emphasized.

According to Mr. Mark Xue Man, as one of the world's leading information technology infrastructure providers, Huawei has always focused on innovation and digital development for the information technology industry. In addition, Huawei will continue to invest to contribute to Vietnam's digital transformation process. Mr. Mark Xue Man expressed Huawei Group’s desire to continue to cooperate and support VNPT and MobiFone to build high-quality telecommunications network experiences and innovative solutions, ecosystems, applications, and professional consulting services. Huawei Group, in addition, also wishes to seek cooperation opportunities in the field of information technology and digital transformation with state-owned enterprises represented by the CMSC.
Expressing his impression of Huawei Group’s achievements in information technology research and development in recent years, Chairman of CMSC Nguyen Hoang Anh said, the CMSC is a government agency and exercises rights and take on duties as the owner’s representative to wholly State-owned enterprises and State capital invested in joint-stock companies and multi-member limited liability companies. There are 19 enterprises of which CMSC acts as the owner’s representative.
According to Chairman Nguyen Hoang Anh, as Vietnam is promoting the National Digital Transformation Programme to 2025, it is absolutely necessary for 19 enterprises of which CMSC acts as the owner’s representative to approach partners highly capable and experienced partners in the field of information technology and digital transformation. Sharing his experiences during field trip to Chinese enterprises’ production facilities, Chairman Nguyen Hoang Anh highly appreciated the achievements of China's digital transformation revolution in general and of Chinese enterprises in particular. Referring to discussion on expanding cooperation in digital economy and digital transformationat the high-level meetings between the leaders of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Communist Party of China which took place in December 2023, Chairman Nguyen Hoang Anh, as a result, remarked that this is a solid basis for the two countries’ enterprises to take a further steps in cooperation.

"Over the years, Huawei's cooperation with VNPT and MobiFone has achieved remarkable results. Considering the Huawei's capacity and the digital transformation needs of VNPT and MobiFone, there is still a lot of room for all parties involved to promote cooperation and development. The CMSC expects Huawei to continue to strengthen cooperation and support these two enterprises to launch many digital products and digital solutions in the future”, Chairman Nguyen Hoang Anh emphasized.
The head of the CMSC suggested that VNPT is currently looking for partners to share experience in transforming from a traditional telecommunications service provider to a provider of digital products and services, cloud computing, digital transformation solutions for businesses on the 5G network, etc. VNPT, in addition, is seeking cooperation in fields such as big data, Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain technology. MobiFone is looking for partners in the modernization of core systems, ensuring the stability and efficiency of network system, with many new features to serve the customers, and in upgrading solutions to deploy and provide 5G services.
Chairman Nguyen Hoang Anh also stressed the need that Huawei would expand cooperation in digital transformation with VNPT and MobiFone, ensuring the harmonious interests of all parties involved and the Vietnamese people, therefrom, would benefit from the national digital transformation process. Chairman Nguyen Hoang Anh also shared the need of other enterprises of which the CMSC acts as the owner’s representative for digital transformation in the fields of energy, industry, agriculture and infrastructure.
"I believe that common understanding between the two General Secretaries of the two Parties and under the direction of the two Prime Ministers of the two countries, the state-owned enterprises of which the CMSC acts as the owner’s representative and the Chinese enterprises, including Huawei, there will be many opportunities and potentials for further cooperation and development", Chairman Nguyen Hoang Anh affirmed.
