CMSC’s delegation works with Sembcorp Industries

CMSC During the visit to Singapore, the delegation of the Commission for Management of the State Capital at Enterprises (CMSC) led by Vice Chairman Nguyen Ngoc Canh paid a visit and worked with Sembcorp Industries on December 22.

The delegation was accompanied by Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Director of the Department of Industry, Mr. Pham Minh Hoang - Deputy Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel and leaders of enterprises under CMSC. Sembcorp Industries was represented by Mr. Wong Kim Yin - General Manager and heads of functional departments and regional branches.
At the meeting, on behalf of the CMSC, Vice Chairman Nguyen Ngoc Canh expressed his gratitude to Mr. Wong Kim Yin and the leaders of Sembcorp Industries for their warm welcome, stating that Sembcorp Industries, considered as an icon of the economic partnership between Vietnam and Singapore, has invested in the Vietnamese market for more than 25 years. Highly appreciated by its energy and integrated urban solutions business, Sembcorp Industries has established 11 Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP), generating US$15.6 billion of investments and creating more than 293,000 employment opportunities in Vietnam.
The delegation of the CMSC highly valued the discuss a sustainable corporate governance framework, especially international experience in the management of SOEs after equitization, and its applicability in Vietnam with Sembcorp Industries in the context that the world is moving towards a sustainable development stage. In addition, the enterprise under CMSC discussed collaboration opportunities in the energy sector with Sembcorp Industries.
